And it's cold... but do not fear, I bought a real jacket.
I went to a bible study for collage kids from my church on Sunday and I had a really good time. it was way out in the country, but the house that we went to was this awesome log house that was really big on a lot of land. I think the people that hosted the study this week where retired so now on this land that they own they sell bamboo. I know, it's really weird that some one can grow and sell the stuff for money but that is what they do. Bamboo.
So in there back yard they grew a bamboo fort and I took a picture of it.

We ended up having the study out side around their fire pit and once the sun went down it got really cold. It was great being out there and I remembered my jacket. "Wow, I like the Carhart jacket" said my new version of Josh Harris "Those are really nice"
In case you didn't know there are new versions of every one here in TN. The new Josh's name is Jeff. The new Ben Gable's name is Ben Gable. Every one except Jess, she has no equal.
Anyway Jeff was talking about how their church is setting up for a fall festival. In short, the collage kids where going to make a maze out of boxes for the kids to crawl though. So I went down there Thursday and helped out. No one really knew how they where going to do this maze so I started throwing out idea's and people started listening and before you knew it, I was using all my new friends to build what they only dreamed could happen.
Excepted for the lions mouth. Two creative people made that.. not me

This is the coolest thing I have ever made. You turn off all the lights in the class room that has two doors. You crawl though the lions mouth and try to find your way to the other door. The maze was really big, I had a hard time remembering where to go when I gave it a whirl and I built the dang thing! It's way cooler and way bigger then the picture shows it to be but it included Three dead ends, One big fort type room that you could sit down and think in, and a stand up spot that you could turn around in or if you're a little kid, stand up in.
I thought it was awesome. They're going to have a good time over there.
Now, those are pictures a Mama likes to see! Thank you for posting them!
ReplyDeleteThat maze looks really cool. What a great idea! I take it the chairs are posted around for people to help little kids if they get scared or stuck? Or are you just going to sweep them all out the next morning? ;-)
Wish we could have talked longer today. I love you so much.
I am so happy that you're having some fun!
ReplyDeleteThe fall pictures look lovely. Wish it looked like that here!
Ohhh. Noooooow I understand the maze. (Maybe if you post pictures of engines, I can understand them, too.)
ReplyDeleteI miss you. There's definitely no one around like you, either.
Have a good day at work!
(P.S. Tomorrow is November 1st, and you're coming home in November!)
Wow! You're amazing! But we already knew that. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you at Thanksgiving!
Love, Mrs. M.
P.S. Send some of that cold weather down our way, ok?
